Health and Welfare Committee - Woodbine Entertainment and HBPA
Thursday, February 22, 2018

Woodbine Entertainment and the Horsemen's Benevolent and Protective Association have spearheaded a new Health and Welfare Committee in cooperation with Fort Erie Racetrack for the 2018 season.

The committee has implemented a new policy that will require all horses shipping into both Woodbine and Fort Erie to have current vaccinations for Flu and Rhino in addition to the mandatory Coggins.

"This policy is meant to protect the health and welfare of the horses," said Leslie.

All horses entering Woodbine this spring must have the Flu and Rhino shot within 7 days of entry to the racetrack, if they have not already had in 2018.

All coggins test must be kept up to date as previous years.

All Paperwork must be turned in to the Stall Office.

The Board of Directors urgently requires input from every CTHS ONT member to assist the Board in representing and advocating on behalf of the membership.

The survey will take approximately 5-10 minutes to complete. Individual responses will remain PRIVATE & CONFIDENTIAL within the Board of Directors. Summarized group statistical data will be published. The CTHS ONT will only publish individual comments, opinions concerns or suggestions with the clear and advance consent of any such member. Please complete the survey now and pass it on to every other member you know.

Thank you for your time and effort in helping us manage the current and future needs of Thoroughbred Breeders in Ontario.
