Benefits of Membership

Becoming a member of the Canadian Thoroughbred Horse Society brings with it not only the ability to register foals born in Canada as Canadian-Bred but also many other benefits.

As well as a one-year subscription to the Canadian Thoroughbred magazine, members of the CTHS (Ontario Division) will be provided with all the services and items documented in our vision statement.

"The CTHS aims to ensure a viable future for its members by providing assistance and representation within the Thoroughbred Breeding Industry."

Benefits of registering foals as Canadian-Breds will allow for entry into restricted stakes, such as the Triple Crown stakes races, allow for a three pound (three-year-old races only*) and five pound weight allowance (two- year-old races only*), and eligibility for our Breeders' Awards Program.
